STANDARD 4 GHZ FEEDS
One of the first standard Seavey Engineering products was a highly efficient scalar feed for low-cost TVRO satellite Earth Stations. Following wide market acceptance, this initial product has been expanded into the most comprehensive feed family in the world!
Using an optimized scalar horn design, and built with production castings, innovative Seavey Engineering feeds result in optimum antenna gain. They also minimize the antenna noise temperature and discriminate against terrestrial interference through their special primary pattern shaping. By specifying the reflector’s F/D (focal length to diameter) ratio, a feed can be selected for best performance with your reflector.
Popular servo-motor controlled feeds let the Earth Station receiver circuitry automatically adjust the feed’s linear polarization to match the satellite’s. An optional DC motor or a remote SC-10AC feed polarization controller broaden your choices. Options include WR-229 waveguide bends (E- or H-styles), and mounting brackets for many reflectors.

A series of low-cost, high performance prime focus feeds using efficient scalar apertures is available for small antennas such as C-band video uplinks and VSAT terminals. Many polarization choices are offered. Standard feeds include units compliant with INTELSAT circular polarization axial ratio requirements.
Scalar feeds are optimized for performance with selected reflector focal length-to-diameter (F/D) ratios. Choose the proper feed by adding a dash number to the model number.
RF ports are CPR-229F or CPR-229G for the receive band and CPR-137G for the transmit band. All feeds are constructed in aluminum and have an iridite finish. They are sealed and have aperture windows suitable for up to 2 psig internal pressure. Operating frequency is 3.7 - 4.2 GHz in the receive port and 5.925 - 6.425 GHz in the transmit port unless noted.

A wide variety of efficient prime focus feeds for standard parabolic and offset reflectors is available for reception of satellite signals in the 10.7 - 12.75 GHz frequency band. This band is in wide use for Direct Broadcasting Satellite (DBS) applications. Seavey Engineering offers feeds having dual, circular, or remotely-adjustable polarizations.
Standard feeds are built with precision die castings and are designed for optimum gain and lowest antenna noise temperature. Feeds are selected by specifying the reflector’s F/D ratio. Prime focus feeds are scalar horns. Offset feeds are multimode horns. All feeds have sealed construction and aperture windows.
Standard feed tuning is 11.7 - 12.2 GHz. European (10.95 - 12.75 GHz) and Australian (12.25 - 12.75 GHz) tuning can be provided if specified when ordering.
Popular servo-motor-controlled feeds let the Earth Station receiver automatically adjust the feed’s linear polarization to match the satellite. An optional DC motor and a remote SC-10AC feed polarization controller are also available. Other options include WR-75 waveguide E- or H-bends.

These are prime focus feeds for parabolic and offset reflectors operating in Ku-band. Ku-band data, VSAT and video uplinks are supported with these products. All antenna polarizations are available.
All feeds offer optimized performance in selected reflector focal length-to-diameter (F/D) ratios by adding a dash number to the Model Number. RF ports are WR-75 waveguide flanges. All feeds are constructed in aluminum and have a paint or iridite finish. They are sealed and have aperture windows suitable for up to 2 psig internal pressure.
Standard tuning is 14.0 - 14.5 GHz in the transmit ports and 11.7 - 12.2 GHz in the receive ports. European (10.95 - 12.75 GHz) and Australian (12.25 - 12.75 GHz) tuning can be provided when specified with your order.
Rated transmit power is 750 watts CW at the feed port except as noted in the table.
