VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) satellite communications systems now link major facilities throughout the world. Typical Earth Stations consist of a microwave radio having uplink and downlink capability, and a small antenna which is generally in the 2-ft to 12-ft diameter range.Seavey Engineering has been a pioneer in the development of such antennas and has a wide range of designs available in the C- and Ku-band frequency ranges. In addition, several antennas have been developed for simultaneous access to both C- and Ku-band transponders aboard hybrid satellites. Seavey Engineering’s VSAT antennas come complete with reflector, feed system and antenna mount. Antennas having RF interfaces to most microwave radio manufacturer’s products can be delivered when specified.
