ANTENNA TEST RANGE SOURCES

Seavey Engineering offers a set of modular source (i.e. generally transmitting) antennas for far-field test ranges. Two-foot and six-foot reflector diameters are standard; both have provisions for mounting pre-focussed and interchangeable waveguide-bandwidth linear polarized feeds.Dedicated use source antennas with dual and circular polarization are also available. These also can be custom-designed to your requirements. Two types of ultra-bandwidth source antennas are offered. One has remotely-controlled linear polarization, a rotary joint and a polarization encoder. Its feed can rotate up to 10 RPM and operates from 1 - 18 GHz. It is highly useful for conducting swept axial ratio measurements and comes with a remote control and display unit.A fixed dual linear polarization antenna operating from 1 - 12 GHz is also available. The feeds for these antennas are also available separately for installation on other reflectors. Modular and Dedicated Use source antennas have rear mounting provisions to interface with 56000-series Scientific-Atlanta (or M.I. Technologies) polarization positioners. The boresight is mechanically aligned with the mounting surface within 10% of the 3 dB beamwidth. Measured test data for source antennas, including pattern, gain and boresight alignment, can be provided at additional cost. All are robust units made for long-term use on unattended towers.
