ORTHO-MODE TRANSDUCERS (OMTs)
Seavey Engineering specializes in ortho-mode transducers (OMTs) and produces a wide range of products, including unique dual-band components. OMTs couple two isolated signals from rectangular waveguide ports into a single square or round waveguide. High isolation, good impedance match, low cross-polarization and high power handling capability are provided over communications bandwidths.
Standard products also include dual-band and three-port designs, co-polarized models and orthogonal circularly polarized models which integrate an OMT junction and an efficient, low axial ratio
polarizer.
OMTs may be utilized in antenna feeds for systems with frequency reuse capability, such as satellite communications and troposcatter links.
